well i know it’s near the end, but i figure i’d post up what i’ve been reading this summer.. check out the post on Mark Lee’s blog for some more reviews.

usually i’m in school and have no time to read. this summer was different, and i had a voracious appetite. i love Tom Clancy and all of his books, and, up until now, it’s been hard to find something that compares. that’s where Vince Flynn comes into the picture.

Mr. Flynn writes about high treason, espionage, the war on terror and assassinations. i don’t want to give anything away, but know that his books pull no punches. they are violent, somewhat realistic, and not for the faint of heart. Mitch Rapp, the protagonist, is the hard core, bada$$ version of Jack Bauer from the TV show 24.

it’s hard to pick a favorite, and i’m reluctant to do so until i’ve re-read the books.

when i find an author i like i typically read all of their books. this summer i knocked off all of Vince Flynn’s books except for the latest, titled Protect and Defend, which isn’t out in paperback for another few weeks. as soon as it is i’ll carve time out of my school schedule to read this one as well!

if you like spies, guns, fighting and anything related to national security then i suggest you check these novels out!
